Statement
I am a disabled, queer and neurodivergent woman with an artistic background in photography (BA Photography First Class Honours).
I have a rare condition affecting the central nervous system called Neurocardiogenic Presyncope, along with Autism, Epilepsy and other comorbidities. I was bed-bound, unable to move or speak for a while when I was younger, and still struggle to this day. I require daily help to take care of myself and am an ambulatory wheelchair user.
My work often depicts how my Autism and physical health have restricted large parts of my life. My portraits encourage the analysis of the self, attempting to display my disabilities that often appear hidden in a typical photograph or certainly in daily life.”
