Statement
Clarissa Russell

Having lived my earlier life in London and now in Hampshire, I am an artist who paints and draws in a variety of media often taking inspiration from the natural world. Colour and light are my passion. My subject matter varies from still life, landscape and flowers to life drawing and portraits.
I have exhibited at the Royal Society of Floral Painters and the Pastel Society as well as in many galleries in nationally and also in Sweden.
I was an elected member of the Society of Floral Painters and my biography is included in – ‘A History and Dictionary of British Flower Painters 1650-1950′ by Josephine Walpole’ My work is in many private collections both at home and abroad.
