Statement

In this 21st Century, artists are searching for new forms of expression. The parallel worlds of music, film, architecture, literature and performance are merging to encompass digital techniques in a quest for more visceral outcomes.

As an architect, musician and artist, a consideration for the creative act, which is essentially a design centred discipline, lies at the heart of my own work. I strive to achieve a figurative minimalism by means of an economical use of abstract composition, in the examination of the power of an idea through line.

Recently I have been experimenting with digital media to see if it is possible to create figurative and abstract line compositions of varying complexity. A direct output from an initial idea may emerge by “chance’ and by design, to create a finished composition with purpose and intensity.
My work has been exhibited in the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition.
