Statement
Paul has an interesting background in photography, having been given a camera for his 11th birthday. He lived in Gosport from the age of 9 until he joined Hampshire Constabulary in 1970 and served at various places within the county. He returned to Gosport in 2003 after he retired from the Police. During his time in the Police he worked as a forensic photographer for a period of about 10 years and was filmed by the BBC in 1982 for a programme on Police photography. After retiring he taught photography at Eastleigh College to students with disabilities or learning difficulties. He has been the President of Colour Circles, a postal photographic club, since 1994.
He now only uses a digital camera or even an iPhone and tries to produce an image that intrigues the viewer.
