Statement
Shawn Lee
Shawn is a practicing architect with a huge passion for still life oil painting. He was originally born in Malaysia and have taken Brighton as home whilst working in London specialising in healthcare architecture.
Shawn’s fascination in still life came from the dialogs of subjects through composition, lighting, and the contemporary setting of these subjects. He loves to explore the symbolism and meaning of these objects, whether a special object or just an ordinary object, and how they form different compositions that intrigue our mind and thoughts. His oil paintings are mainly in the style of naturalism or realism. He also experiments in painting portraitures and interiors.
