Terms and Conditions of Sale
The following Terms and Conditions have been created for customers using Yellow Edge Gallery online shop. They may, therefore, differ to those affecting customers making purchases through direct enquiry or in-store.
The term ‘we’ refers to Yellow Edge Gallery, owner of the website and e-commerce shop, whose registered address is 107 Stoke Road, Gosport PO12 1LR. The term ‘you’ or ‘customers’ refers to the customers placing orders through the Yellow Edge Gallery online shop.
We have established the online gallery shop to facilitate sales of works of art, including, prints, textiles and ceramics.
We reserve the right to change or review the listed artworks and prices on our site at any time. Changes made will not affect any order already placed (unless otherwise outlined under Cancellation of Sales).
Please note that the price of the artwork listed does not include delivery charges. Shipping cost will be advised upon checkout, prior to final payment.
Customers are welcome to pay for their artwork online using a credit card only at this time. We do not apply additional fees for the use of this service, but cannot guarantee that your payment provider will not do so.
Prices listed are in GBP (£) only, and international customers should be aware that conversion fees will apply. Please refer to your bank or payment provider for confirmation of rates.
Our site is manually managed and we do our best to ensure that all the information listed (price, artwork detail, availability, etc) is correct. In the instance that human or system error leads to any listed artwork being incorrectly advertised for sale (i.e. it is now out of stock, has been inaccurately documented, or priced), we will email you immediately to inform you of the error. We will not process your order until we have your instructions. Should we not be able to reach you for confirmation within 24 hours, your order will be automatically cancelled.
Customers may cancel their order prior to dispatch. To do this, you will need to contact us immediately by email at firstname.lastname@example.org. Cancellations made post-dispatch will be subject to the conditions of Returns, as explained below.
At this time, we use ParcelForce for shipping online sales, which are hand-packaged to ensure that they are safe for transport.
ParcelForce operates with tracking numbers for additional security. Although we do our best, we are a small business, so dispatch and shipping times cannot be guaranteed.
We are not liable for any additional costs incurred through International shipping for which we use ParcelForce, FedEx or DHL. Please refer to your government website for information on customs and import taxes.
Shipping costs are outside of our control and can change from time to time. We reserve our right to amend the price of shipping at any time and without prior notice.
UK: Monday to Friday deliveries are free of charge with Saturday delivery available at an additional cost of £20.
International shipping: will be calculated at checkout
Payment – all major credit cards accepted.
For delivery in the UK our chosen courier is ParcelForce. You will receive an email direct from ParcelForce with tracking information. If you enter a mobile number at checkout you will receive a text message on the morning of your scheduled delivery day with an estimated delivery time frame.
Delivery usually takes 5 to 7 days after an order has been placed and paid for.
Rest of the World
For rest of the world shipping the couriers used are ParcelForce, FedEx and DHL.
Once payment has been received you will be sent an email confirming shipping details. Artwork is shipped within 5 to 7 days after an order has been placed and paid for, and shipping usually takes approximately 5 to 7 days to reach its destination.
Fully Insured Shipping
All artworks are packaged with extreme care using several layers of packaging material and strong outer cardboard covering. On arrival please take a few moments to check the package. If damage is evident please do not accept the package and it will be returned. In the unlikely event of damage during transit please retain all the original packaging as this is required for a successful claim and notify Yellow Edge Gallery immediately.

Missing or Damaged Goods
In the event that packaging is obviously damaged upon arrival customers should refuse delivery at which point the product will be returned to us for appraisal.
Compensation for damages must be claimed within 14 days of dispatch. Therefore notice of damaged artwork delivered to the buyer will need to be reported immediately to us in writing, by emailing email@example.com. Photographic evidence of damage will be required to help us submit a claim for insurance where possible, so it is advised that you photograph the package prior to handing it to the courier for return. Please send any images to us as soon as possible.
We cannot be held liable for damages or losses as a result of shipping, and in the case of damaged or missing items in excess of £1,000, or for artworks not covered under ParcelFoce’s policy.
Except in the case where goods are received damaged (and then only in accordance with the guidelines issued under Missing or Damaged Goods) returns will not be accepted from outside the UK for any reason.
You have a right to return an item within 7 days of delivery receipt if you change your mind or are unhappy with your purchase. To begin the process, you must email firstname.lastname@example.org, stating your reason for refund, order number, title of artwork and artist. vA member of the team will contact you within 24 – 48 hours.
All returned items must be received undamaged and in its original packaging. It is the responsibility of customers to pay for return postage.
Refunds will be issued less any fees incurred through payment providers. You will not be compensated for shipping.
All customers are required to enter their email address and home address during the checking out process (telephone number is optional but recommended).
The information gathered through our checkout system will be used for the sole purpose of maintaining contact for the safe delivery of your purchases.
We store your information in our system for the purpose of artwork sale processing, which is essential for our insurance.
